Amidst the unpredictability and tensions of life, be sure to take deep breaths and find your gratitudes. Such things as simple as heartbeats, fresh air and blossoming flowers are easy to take for granted. But remembering to be grateful for those daily miracles can be so positive for yourself and others.
Being in gratitude brings inner joy, and creates the pathways for a healthier, happier mind and body. A happier you allows for better connection and service to others. Connecting with others from a place of joy, respect and kindness creates a better world. A better world provides you with more to be grateful for. And so the cycle continues.
Take a moment now to check in with yourself. To be fully present in the moment. To give gratitude for the breath in your body, the nature that surrounds you or the food you just ate. Breathe into that gratitude and let it fill you with happiness. Feel the sensation of gratitude and joy running through you. Let it expand into every part of your being. Now hold that sensation for as long as you can and share it with others. Smile to yourself, smile to another, BE in gratitude. You will feel so much better. It really is as simple as that.
If you are struggling to find that gratitude and happiness right now that is ok too. We will have those moments where we just can't connect to the good. Be ok with it. This too shall pass. But try again later or tomorrow to just be grateful for sun and water and breath and heartbeats. It will create some momentum and you will slide into that happier
space of seeing the good. I believe in you.
